The tiny “us” things become my favourite part
I love the point where ordinary objects start carrying memories.
A pair of matching stuffed animals or socks is not important by itself. What makes it meaningful is the story attached to it.
I think couples naturally create tiny symbols without planning to. A character, a snack, a song, a place or some ridiculous object starts reminding you of the other person.
Those things become part of the private language of the relationship.
I like that kind of romance because it grows out of attention rather than trying to impress anybody.
