I want inside jokes and honest conversations

I love joking around with somebody, but I also want to know that we can switch gears when something matters.

An inside joke cannot solve a misunderstanding. A cute gesture cannot replace an apology. And being affectionate does not automatically mean both people understand each other.

I think the strongest version of playfulness comes from knowing there is honesty underneath it.

Then the fun feels easy because neither person has to use it to hide what they actually feel.
